History of Liberty Aluminum Co.
Liberty Aluminum Co. has a long and exciting history in the aluminum industry that’s certainly worth noting. Liberty Aluminum Co. was founded in 1993 in Ft. Myers, Florida, by Mr. James E. Lowndes. In those days, there were only several companies in the area that were specializing to the building contractors needs and Mr. Lowndes saw an opportunity to target that market. The following is a chronological order of events that track Liberty Aluminum’s humble beginnings to its present day status.

1993 - Liberty Aluminum Co. incorporated in Ft. Myers, Florida. 
1995 - Invoiced sales exceeded $ 1 Million.
1996 - James D. Guerin becomes an owner of Liberty Aluminum Co.
1997 - Began manufacturing “welded” ornamental railings, grills & gates.
1998 - Outgrew facilities on Craig St. and moved into a larger facility on Hanson St., in Ft. Myers.
1998 - Invoiced sales exceed $2 Million.
2000 - Invoiced sales exceed 4 Million.
2002 - Current facility opens (38,000 sq. ft.) in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
2003 - Divides into divisions: Soffit & Fascia, Pool Enclosures, Condo Screen & Rail, Ornamental & Architectural, Carports & Walkways.
2005 - Invoiced sales exceed $10 Million and full time employees number over 100.
2006 - Founded United Engineering Services Corp. to facilitate company specific engineering.
2006 - Formed the Canopies & Solar Control Device Division.

As you can see the company has come a long way since 1993. Not only have we expanded our customer base over the years, we’ve expanded our product line as well.
